Evangelism Training Program

March 1 - April 19, 2026

Our Mission

The Bethel Campus Fellowship Evangelism Training Program is designed to empower the everyday Believer to effectively share the gospel of Jesus Christ in any situation or setting. During the program, participants will partner with the Holy Spirit to learn, discuss, and practice power evangelism. Each week features teachings from experienced ministers of the gospel on topics such as the gospel, practical evangelism strategies, and witnessing to individuals from different religions. Prayer, power, partnership with the Holy Spirit are central to the program. Whether you are new to evangelism or have extensive experience, all graduates of the program will gain the foundational skills needed to become effective witnesses for Jesus Christ.

2026 Program Vision: In Defense of the Gospel

About the Theme

In Matthew 16, Jesus faces scrutiny from the teachers of the law and doubt among His own disciples. Prompted by this testing, Jesus poses one of the most profound questions ever asked: “Who do you say that I am?” The theme for 2026, “In Defense of the Gospel,” calls Believers to boldly defend the truth, just as Jesus stood firm, deepening their understanding of His Personhood and message. This year’s program will emphasize depth in the pillars of the faith, apologetics, and practical evangelism methods to reach diverse religious groups—all in defense of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Key Verse

When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?” So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 16:13-17)

Testimonies

The second person I evangelized to said she goes to church but had not been baptized and didn’t consider herself a Christian. I shared that being a Christian is about giving your life to Christ and having a relationship with Him. She accepted the gospel, and we said a salvation prayer together. During the prayer, I felt the Lord wanted to work through her to bring hope and healing to her family, which I shared with her.

I evangelized on my college campus and partnered with someone very experienced in evangelizing. We talked to two girls, one transgender and one Muslim, both sensitive situations that made me nervous. We focused on connecting with them and showing God’s love through our own experiences. At the end, we prayed for both. One allowed us to hold her hands while praying, and the other preferred we pray privately.

Frequently Asked Questions

The program will begin on Sunday, March 1, 2026 at 7:00pm EST live on Zoom.

The program runs for seven consecutive weeks, from March 1 to April 19. During this time, participants will join live training sessions on Zoom, typically held from 7:00 to 9:00 PM EST. Any schedule deviations will be communicated in advance.

The program is broken down into three parts: Instruction, Engagement, and Application:

Instruction: Participants are expected to attend Zoom training sessions, each led by experienced ministers of the gospel. The curriculum for the current year’s program is outlined below:

  • Week 1: The Testimony of Jesus Christ
  • Week 2: The Kingdom of God is Like a Mustard Seed
  • Week 3: The Spirit of the Holy God for Light and Understanding
  • Week 4: “Who do you say that I am?”: Principles for Defending the Faith
  • Week 5: “Who do you say that I am?”: Practicals for Defending the Faith
  • Week 6: The Crucification of the Witness of the Christ
  • Week 7: Simple Kingdom Approaches for Power Evangelism

Engagement: Participants are expected to engage with the training topics through personal study of focus scriptures, reflective exercises, and discussions of their evangelism experiences with fellow participants.

Application: Participants are expected to evangelize at least once weekly, though more is encouraged for maximum growth. Participants have the discretion to choose the setting and approach for their evangelism encounters, provided it fosters growth in their skills. Additionally, participants have the opportunity to join weekly BCF evangelism initiatives to fulfill this requirement.

Yes. While participants are encouraged to evangelize in their personal lives, the program also offers corporate evangelism opportunities, including Fishers of Men Fridays, where participants share the gospel together at various locations. In addition, weekly on-campus evangelism outings in BCF provide multiple ways for participants to practice and grow their evangelism skills alongside fellow participants.

No. Ephesians 4:11 explains that some are called to certain offices of ministry. However, every Believer serves a purpose in the Body of Christ. Evangelism is a necessary and useful skill every Believer should cultivate in order to fulfill the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20. 2 Timothy 4:5 also explains that evangelism is a work all should do in ministry. The Evangelism Training Program serves as a tool to grow your evangelism skills regardless of your background.

Pathways are the different post-program opportunities participants can pursue after completing the training. These pathways are designed to align with the participants’ goals and desired outcomes from the program. The program offers the following pathways:

  • General – Designed for participants who want to complete the program solely to enhance their evangelism skills, without any commitment to future involvement.
  • Service – Designed for participants who want to complete the program to enhance their evangelism skills and pursue service within Bethel Campus Fellowship after graduation. The Service Track offers two paths: service on campus or service within one of the ministry’s evangelistic departments (e.g., REACH, Global Missions).
  • Builders – Designed for Bethel Campus Fellowship campus leaders who want to complete the program to enhance their evangelism skills and strategically develop or expand evangelism teams within their campus community.
  • Commissioned – Designed for participants who want to complete the program to enhance their evangelism skills and participate in the Commissioned: Campus Missions Experience.

Yes! At the conclusion of the program, there will be a Graduation and Commissioning Ceremony where participants can fellowship, celebrate what God has done throughout the program, and be formally commissioned for the gospel. More details will be shared throughout the program.

To successfully complete the program, participants are expected to actively engage in all training sessions, complete assigned tasks, and demonstrate growth in their evangelism skills. Graduation eligibility is determined through a holistic evaluation. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion recognizing their achievement.
